Stralingsbescherming van de werknemer en zijn omgeving (conform artikel 25)
Deze opleidingen zijn bedoeld voor alle mensen die potentieel aan ioniserende straling blootgesteld kunnen worden. De opleiding voldoet aan de bepalingen vastgelegd in artikel 25 van het Koninklijk Besluit van 20 juli 2001 (ARBIS).
Als werknemer heeft u recht op regelmatige informatie over de risico's van ioniserende straling en hoe u zichzelf ertegen kunt beschermen. Deze informatie moet minstens één keer per jaar worden gegeven door uw werkgever tijdens de werktijd. De opleiding omvat onder andere enkele basisprincipes van de wetgeving, de betekenis van bepaalde stralingssymbolen en waarschuwingstekens. Verder komen enkele praktische stralingsbeschermingsregels aan bod net zoals de te nemen maatregelen in geval van een incident.
Deze opleidingen worden ontwikkeld en gevalideerd door een erkend deskundige in fysische controle. Hij of zij kan u ook advies geven over de beste praktijken en methoden om uzelf en anderen te beschermen tegen ioniserende straling. U kunt hem of haar altijd raadplegen als u vragen of twijfels heeft over dit onderwerp.
Ioniserende straling is niet iets om bang voor te zijn, maar wel iets om respect voor te hebben. Door goed geïnformeerd te zijn en de juiste voorzorgsmaatregelen te nemen, kunt u veilig werken met ioniserende straling en bijdragen aan het welzijn van uzelf, uw collega's en het milieu.
