You wish to call on the services of Vinçotte Controlatom to ensure radiation protection for your staff, the general public, and the environment. This means entrusting us with the health physics activities for your installation licensed to use sources of ionising radiation.
The tasks related to health physics are defined in the Royal Decree of 20 July 2001, more specifically in Article 23. This legislation also includes all responsibilities of the operator regarding radiation protection for personnel, the installation, the public, and the environment. Our experts apply the relevant international standards (ADR, ICRP, IAEA, etc.), as well as the recommendations and decisions of the Belgian Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (FANC).
Our radiation protection experts assist you in optimising radiation protection for all stakeholders, while minimising operational impact. The scope of this advisory role is defined in accordance with applicable legislation and tailored to your activities.
(Stakeholders include radiation workers, the general public, and the environment.)
Our radiation protection experts carry out surveillance of controlled areas, perform measurements to verify radiation dose and contamination levels, and assess the effectiveness of safety measures within your installation.
In addition, they supervise administrative aspects (authorisations, permits, procedures, inventory, etc.), provide technical advice, and approve new practices where required. They also determine dose based on dosimetry data and monitor compliance with operational and legal dose limits.
Radiation protection training can also be provided by Vinçotte Controlatom experts. These professionals have extensive experience in delivering training programmes and draw on the broad expertise developed across all areas of health physics and radiation protection.
Our trainers adapt their approach to the target audience and combine strong technical knowledge with effective communication and teaching skills.
