Vinçotte selected as accredited certification body within the international ITER nuclear fusion project
The management committee of the international nuclear fusion project ITER in Cadarache, in the south of France, has selected the Belgian company Vinçotte to be the authorized inspection body for the inspection of the reactor vessel. The organisation's status as an "inspection body authorized by the French nuclear safety authorities", its 40 years' experience in the inspection of nuclear pressure apparatus and the multilingualism of its specialists were deciding factors for the international team comprised of scientists and engineers in their choice to award Vinçotte with the job.
